“colin the cathederal skull”
“colin” large 3 dimensional steel skull commissioned by richard upton of the cathedral group, this piece now hangs permanently on public display and can be seen in the entrance to st thomas’s church, st thomas st, london SE1 9RY below the old operating theatre.
The skull was created by welding flat steel images and icons together to form a 3 dimensional mask, this is a view form inside the main entrance
All the icon were formed by combining plasma cut shapes with wrought iron rod
This is a view looking though the skull from the inside
These are shadows cast by the skull on the walls inside the church
